Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine: the Science based approach to living the healthiest life.
My passion is helping people to transform their health from the inside out. I look at restoring health and function and not just the controlling symptoms. A full understanding of your environment and lifestyle and how they affect you is part of the whole picture. Part of the work in my clinic is to identify and address the root cause that is responsible for the symptoms that the client is experiencing.
Women and Men's Health:
The most common underlying condition that I see is unbalanced hormones in men and women. These may show themselves in perimenopause, menopause in women andropause in men and fertility issues as well as other hormonal related illnesses. Most of the time these are found not to be medical conditions although at times they feel like it. Anxiety, weight gain, lack of libido, no energy, sleep disturbance, joint pain, regular trips to the loo, prostate problems hot sweats and dry skin are just some of the symptoms you might be experiencing.
Fertility issues may be the result of unbalanced hormones which may become unbalanced by an unhealthy diet. An unhealthy diet is often linked to poor gut health which is linked to inflammation and can be the root cause of many health issues including hormonal imbalances.
Women in their late 30's and 40's quite often don't associate early warning signs such as tiredness, mood changes, loss of libido with hormonal changes in their body and just think that it’s part of their stressful daily life juggling family and work. These symptoms can be a sign of the perimenopause where the production of the key hormones oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone become erratic, which can lead to a whole host of apparently unconnected symptoms.
There are lots of ways that diet and lifestyle can help to relieve these symptoms. Personalised nutritional plans and advice can make a world of difference to the way you feel. It's about making smart choices for optimum health and well-being whilst still enjoying delicious food.

What are Vitamin B12 shots and how may they help you?
Vitamin B12 is a safe, water-soluble vitamin and nutrient that plays an essential role in the production of your red blood cells and DNA, as well as the proper functioning of your nervous system.
It is mainly found in animal products including meats, fish, poultry and dairy. It is not found in fruit and vegetables.
If you are suffering from symptoms including tiredness, brain fog, headaches, mouth ulcers, muscle pain, mood swings, memory loss, poor concentration, menopause and hormonal imbalances; any of these could be a sign of low B12 and therefore B12 shots may help improve these symptoms.
